Suggestions for Session Themes Welcome

If you’re wondering what to propose, or what sort of sessions might emerge on the day at THATCamp Brisbane, have a look at the web-sites of previous THATCamps in Australia.

Melbourne: http://www.thatcampmelbourne.org/

Canberra: http://thatcampcanberra.org/

Or, you can look at what has happened overseas by visiting THATCamp headquarters. There are plenty of ideas for Session Genres here: http://thatcamp.org/go/proposals/

Of course, there’s no need to replicate what has happened elsewhere. It is important to address the needs and interests of our own participants and something could emerge from events and experiences in the weeks or days that precede THATCamp Brisbane. Once you’ve registered, feel free to post suggestions as a blog entry. Once we have a few, we’ll collect these on a Google doc for all to see and add comments.

About Roger Osborne

Since completing my PhD at the University of New South Wales in 2000, I've worked as a non-continuing and sessional lecturer, research assistant, postdoctoral fellow and project manager. Does that make me an Alternative Academic? I've maintained a research profile in textual criticism and book history, publishing regularly on Australian book history in a trans-national context. I'm co-editor of the forthcoming Cambridge Edition of Joseph Conrad's Under Western Eyes and, as the 2011 Nancy Keesing Fellow at the State Library of New South Wales, I'm working towards an electronic edition of Joseph Furphy's Such is Life. I currently work with Anna Gerber on the Australian Electronic Scholarly Editing Project.
